According to the proposal, household and individual businesses with total annual revenue not exceeding VND10 billion ($381,000) in 2026 and 2027 will be eligible for a 30% reduction in personal income tax (PIT) for each respective year.

Vietnam Customs has urgently issued an official dispatch to local customs regarding the implementation of tax obligation confirmation under the new regulations in Circular No. 121/2025/TT-BTC of the Ministry of Finance.

Newly established SMEs are exempt from income tax for the first 3 years; businesses transitioning from household businesses to corporate models are exempt for the first 2 years.

For foreign-invested enterprises to be eligible for corporate income tax incentives, they must meet similar criteria applicable to domestic enterprises.
