Separate protocols for international arrivals at airports, passengers on international flights to Vietnam, or departing passengers purchasing goods at downtown duty-free shops have been eliminated.

The move is part of measures to stabilise domestic supply and safeguard national energy security amid growing global uncertainties.

The Ministry of Finance expects to urgently implement this so that, as soon as possible, eligible businesses can be licensed and operate in this field in the Vietnamese market before 2026.
