The Gia Lai Provincial People’s Committee has proposed the Ministry of Construction to build the Pleiku-Le Thanh Expressway under a public-private partnership (PPP) model.

Under the proposal, the expressway would be more than 54 km long. The starting point would connect with the terminus of the Quy Nhon-Pleiku Expressway, while the endpoint would connect with National Highway 19 near Le Thanh Border Gate in Ia Dom Commune.

The project is proposed as a fully developed four-lane expressway, with a 24.75-metre roadbed and a designed speed of 100 kph.

The preliminary total investment is estimated at more than VND17 trillion (approximately $650 million), including nearly VND9.3 trillion for construction, nearly VND3.2 trillion for site clearance, and more than VND4.5 trillion for other costs.

Under the proposed PPP structure, private investors would mobilise approximately 30% of the total investment, while the State budget would provide the remaining 70%.

If approved by the competent authorities, investment preparations are expected to take place in 2026-2027, with construction scheduled to begin thereafter and the project substantially completed before 2030.
