Authorities of central Nghe An province on July 31 granted investment policy approvals, investment registration certificates and signed memoranda of understanding and investment cooperation agreements for 25 projects with a combined registered capital of more than VND110.45 trillion (approximately $4.2 billion).

The projects span a wide range of sectors, including industrial park infrastructure, urban development, logistics, tourism, social housing, renewable energy, high-tech agriculture and manufacturing.

The largest project was a memorandum of understanding to study the development of an integrated eco-urban, resort and Vi, Giam Folk Singing Park complex, with an estimated investment of VND52.6 trillion, accounting for nearly half of the total registered capital announced.

The province also secured commitments for several major industrial park developments, including the 800-hectare VSIP Nghe An 5 Industrial Park with planned investment of VND6.9 trillion; the 1,000-hectare Ngoc Chau Industrial Park (Phase 1) worth VND7.5 trillion; Phuc Loc Industrial Park (VND6.9 trillion); Yen Quang 1 Industrial Park (VND4.1 trillion); Dien Quynh 1 Industrial Park (VND3.9 trillion); Dong Hoi 1 Industrial Park (VND1.25 trillion); and Nghia Dan Industrial Park with investment of nearly VND1.9 trillion.

In the logistics sector, Nghe An also attracted major infrastructure projects, including Dong Hoi Port and its associated logistics and port services complex with estimated investment of VND8.01 trillion, Hoang Mai Logistics Center worth nearly VND915 billion, and the Thanh Thuy Border Gate Logistics and Commercial Center with planned investment of almost VND190 billion.
