Northern Ninh Binh province welcomed an estimated 18.727 million visitors in the first seven months of 2026, up 23.34% year-on-year and equivalent to 93.63% of the annual target, according to the provincial Department of Tourism.
The strong performance further underscores Ninh Binh’s appeal as one of Vietnam’s leading destinations for heritage, culture and ecotourism, while providing an important boost to the province’s economic growth.
Alongside the sharp increase in visitor numbers, total tourism revenue exceeded VND19.348 trillion ($732 million), up 21.8% from the same period last year and reaching 96.74% of the annual target.
In July alone, Ninh Binh’s tourism sector recorded positive results, with tourist attractions and destinations welcoming over 1.11 million visitors, an increase of 23.53% year-on-year. Tourism revenue reached more than VND1.38 trillion ($52.2 million), up 22.62%, reflecting continued strong consumer spending and demand for travel experiences during the peak tourism season.
