The Ministry of Science and Technology has issued a decision establishing the Global Vietnam AI Experts Network, a new initiative aimed at mobilizing Vietnamese artificial intelligence (AI) talent worldwide to support the country's AI ecosystem and technological development.
The network is designed to attract, connect and sustain the participation of Vietnamese AI experts across the globe while creating a mechanism for international-standard knowledge transfer, mentorship and training to enhance the quality of Vietnam's AI workforce.
It also seeks to strengthen collaboration among research institutions, businesses and international AI specialists to establish high-impact research teams capable of addressing real-world challenges, developing commercially viable AI products and solutions, and accelerating technology commercialization.
In addition, the network will serve as a platform for leading Vietnamese AI experts to contribute to national policymaking and play key roles in major AI programs and projects. Their expertise will support the development of strategic technologies in priority sectors, including healthcare, education, smart cities, cybersecurity and national data infrastructure.
The initiative forms part of Vietnam's broader strategy to build a globally connected AI ecosystem, foster innovation and enhance the country's competitiveness in emerging technologies.
