The number of business jets operating in Vietnam in 2026 has surged by over 77% compared to 2025, making it the fastest-growing market in the Asia-Pacific region.
This information was shared by Executive Vice President of Civil Aircraft at Dassault Aviation, Mr. Carlos Brana, during a showcase of the Falcon 10X business jet series held in Hanoi on July 9.
According to Mr. Brana, Vietnam currently has 16 business jets in operation, a more than 77% increase over the 2025 figure. The primary drivers of this growth include rapid economic expansion, the internationalization of domestic enterprises, and the increasing demand for direct travel to major global economic hubs.
"This indicates that aircraft owners in Vietnam have a growing need for non-stop flights to Europe and North America," Mr. Brana said.
Despite this momentum, he noted that Vietnam’s business aviation market remains relatively small compared to other countries in the region and is still in its early stages of development. The total number of Falcon business jets currently operating in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and China exceeds 100 units, while Vietnam accounts for less than 10% of this regional volume.
From a market perspective, Ms. Ho Thanh Huong, Chairwoman of Bluesky Airways—a business aviation service provider in Vietnam—stated that domestic entrepreneurs are showing an increasing interest in the business jet segment.
Regarding the market’s prospects, Mr. Brana said that alongside the country's economic growth, the demand for business aviation will continue to expand. However, to fully unlock its potential, Vietnam needs to further invest in airport infrastructure and refine the regulatory and service mechanisms for this specific segment.
According to Mr. Brana, in addition to expanding the airport system, Vietnam should consider establishing specialized immigration and security procedures for business jet passengers. Such measures would shorten processing times and significantly enhance the market's overall competitiveness.
